If you did not know, Cardinal Hayes Memorial High School in the Bronx, New York has practiced single-sex education ever since its opening. This article will focus on why this form of educational practice is not healthy for male and/or female teenagers. Single-gender education is really a foe to the Students and "Administration" of Cardinal Hayes High School because it destroys an individual's relationship with the Roman Catholic Church, infringes an individual's right to liberation, and cleaves the school's budget.
First, single-sex education divides one's union with the Catholic Church because it brings about the deadly sin of DIVORCE. According to the topical statistics of the A&E broadcast, The Love Chronicles, couples who graduate as high school paramours tend to have more rich and fruitful marriages. On the other hand, couples that did not graduate as high school paramours ended up in divorce, a crucial resentment of the Roman Catholic Church, or a member of the couple committed the Mortal Sin of Adultery. High school lovers have to gain more familiarity with monogamy at an earlier age in order to develop the virtue of trust. It would be a very hard task to seduce one away from his or her first love.
Second, single-sex education infringes an individual from having the right to independence. Now, there is a myth that a union of boys and girls together hinders Savage, 2 academic progress. Hayes, and other schools in similarity, is not giving the students the liberation and flexibility they need to resolve these problems themselves by using wise solutions. It is just a mere coincidence, according to a national survey conducted by the New York Daily News, that the top 100 academically ranked schools in the country are among New York COED public schools. I apologize, but Hayes was not even on the list. Fredrick Douglas Academy, coed school, was, and still is, #1 and the Bronx High School of Science was, and still is, #4.
Finally, non-coeducational facilities nearly cleave half of the school budget. Think about it. If half the human gender attends a single-sex private school, then only half the gender contributes tuition to that school. If Hayes and Aquinas were to somewhat merge, then we could "monopolize" the educational industry and increase our potential.
As you can see, single-sex education has been a deadly foe to Hayes and other Private Catholic Schools who practice this discipline by cutting off one's union with the Roman Catholic Church, infringing one's right to independence, and invisibly slicing the school's budget nearly in half. I aspire that one day these schools, especially Hayes, would "Wake up and smell the coffee." Thank you.
