Sade Ortuzar

E-mail Print PDF
sadeMy name is Sade Ortuzar. I am sixteen years old. I attend High School Graphic Communication of Arts majoring in photography. I was born in Queens and raised in the Bronx. My mother is full Dominican and my father is half Dominican and half Chile.

I enjoy photography very much. I like going into the darkroom and uploading photos. I enjoy reeling the film and developing the negatives. It is very fun for me. I do not want to become a photographer. I have other plans that I want to pursue in life. Although I am very good in photography, I want to do something in life that will last me plenty of years

My future career is to become a news anchor. I feel that I will be fit for this career because of my personality. I realized that I wanted to pursue that career because I will always mimic the reporters from Fox five news. I like to be in camera, I enjoy interviewing people, I like to write a lot and I like directing news to others. I want to attend Syracuse University because that college is very good for communications. I can have a better chance in becoming a news anchor.

I’m not really involved in sports and clubs. I am supposed to be in the Honors society but I went to D.R. the week of the ceremony and I didn’t have a chance to attend.  I am only involved in a program called Spark. So far I've been in two internships. The first one was called New South Bronx Center. I was working there for about two years. I was working with young children. It was pretty fun. Now I work at Harlemlive to prepare myself for my future career. It is fun and I learn many things. Going out on stories is fun and I always enjoy myself everyday.
