Age: 70

Occupation: Retired

Residence: Bronx

How do you feel the current voting situation in Florida should be handled? Go by the popular votes

How do you feel about Gore's request of a recount of the votes?

I feel good about it, because I wanted Gore to ask for the recount. I feel very good about it.

How do you feel about Bush's assumption of his victory and already starting to select his cabinet members?

Well, I'm all right with that too. If he feels that he wants to win, he wants to win. So he has a right to express his opinion

After this matter is settled, who do you think will win ?

I'm in doubt about who's going to win, but I wish Gore would win because I think he's more for the poor people. And I'm hoping that he wins, in fact, I'm praying for him. I love Bush, it's okay, but I think Gore is more for the poor people.

How do you feel the controversial current voting situation in Florida should be handled?

My feeling, right now, is for them to go ahead and do a re-count as soon as possible. And make sure there is nothing going wrong with it. The main thing is to do it as soon as possible, because the longer it takes, the more likely improprieties may come along.

How do you feel about Gore's request of a recount of the votes?

Well, if he feels that there was some improprieties, then just to make sure everything is on the up-on-up, he asked for a recount. And that should be granted to him, I don't have a problem with that.

How do you feel about Bush's assumption of his victory and already starting to select his cabinet members?

Anybody that is running for something has to have some confidence in themselves. You know, yeah, I feel I'm a winner too. And I'm going to be prepared, so that if I do win, I'm all ready to start off. It's the type of job that requires someone to be ready when the time comes. So if he has his cabinet all prepared, that's okay.

After this matter is settled, who do you think will win ?

I would really like for Gore to win. I voted for Gore. I think this country will lose some of the gains it has accomplished, if Bush wins. I think he is a product of his father.

How do you feel the controversial current voting situation in Florida should be handled?

I think they should do a complete revote. I think everyone should have a chance to vote again.

How do you feel about Gore's request of a recount of the votes?

I expect him to. Whether he is right in doing so or not, I don't know. I feel whatever party was in his position would have done he same thing.

How do you feel about Bush's assumption of his victory and already starting to select his cabinet members?

I think that is a good decision, because it shows leadership. Based on the facts that he has won the election, in his mind, he's acting appropriately.

After this matter is settled, who do you think will win ?

I have no idea. I think there are too many factors, that can sway it one way or another. I think the importance of having a revote is that it stresses the importance to the people of Florida ,as well as the country, that voting in this country is important and necessary for all. It is one of the principles that this country was founded upon.

How do you feel the controversial current voting situation in Florida should be handled?

I think the whole thing is unfortunate that it had to happen this way in front of the whole world.

How do you feel about Gore's request of a recount of the votes?

From what I hear it was the chairman that asked for the recount because the percentage was too much of a tie.

How do you feel about Bush's assumption of his victory and already starting to select his cabinet members?

I think he's an optimistic person and if he wins it was done fairly

After this matter is settled, who do you think will win ?

I would like Al Gore to win because I'm a Democrat.

Occupation: Student

Residence: Harlem

How do you feel the controversial current voting situation in Florida should be handled?

I think that they should vote again because people are saying that they pressed the wrong button.

How do you feel about Gore's request of a recount of the votes?

Well, I like Al Gore and I think he has the right to a recount.

How do you feel about Bush's assumption of his victory and already starting to select his cabinet members?

I think it's good the fact that Bush thinks he's going to win even though I don't go for him, because you have to assume that your going to win unless you don't want to win.

After this matter is settled, who do you think will win ?

I think Al Gore is going to win. I want Al Gore to try and get better computers for schools, help out in the community and make more parks for us to play in.

How do you feel the controversial current voting situation in Florida should be handled?

I don't know why it happened but I know it's frustrating, they're making a negative reach.

How do you feel about Gore's request of a recount of the votes?

It should be recounted if he feels that there doing something wrong.

How do you feel about Bush's assumption of his victory and already starting to select his cabinet members?

That's even more of a reason why it should be recounted because how do you know that you're automatically going to win like that.

After this matter is settled, who do you think will win ?

I don't know who's going to win but I want Al Gore to win.
