 This multi-talented man was born on September 25, 1968 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Raised in West Philly on the funky tunes and the sultry grooves of the 70¹s, no one ever expected Will Smith to become a star. Smith showed always showed promise to be great just not in entertainment. Smith was hugely successful in the areas of math and science and was presumed to be going on full scholarship at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). But then a shocking thing happened Smith began rhyming the poems he had written as a little boy to beats and crowds started to form around to hear him in parks and at parties.
Shortly after realizing his talent Smith teamed up with his best friend Jeff Townes and they became the Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff. The two produced one of the platinum albums in hip-hop with a small hit called "Parents Just Don¹t Understand" and from then on Will Smith went on to great heights.
Smith was the first rapper to have his own television show "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" which ran successfully for 5 seasons. Smith has also gained critical acclaim for his acting in "Six Degrees of Separation". He has earned 4 Grammy¹s and big box office numbers for his films Bad Boys, Independence Day, Men In Black, Enemy of the State.
