 The importance of capturing information for society to view and hold is very important to stabilize and remember the great heroes of our time. "Black Mind Builders is an information center for the black community that allows the people to obtain pure information, speeches, and changes in history as they took place in the world," said Brother Elliot Muhammad who manages Black Mind Builders.  Recently, HarlemLive visited the Black Mind Builders store at the 125th Street Mini Mart in Harlem. The store was started by a very good friend of brother Muhammad eight years ago. Recently brother Elliott enjoyed the opportunity of taking over the business and is now running it . The Black Mind Builders goal is "to make sure that our community has access to the literature about our ancestors as well as literature about Islam," said Brother Muhammad, who has embraced Islam as a faith. The store mostly receives customers in the black community and occasionally other customers outside. Many individuals such as teachers and researchers mainly shop at the store.  The store contains tapes and videos of famous historians and famous speeches made by many, if not all of our great black leaders in modern times. This store lets others that wish to know about our history have a great apportunity to find out. The information provided is very acurate and specific, said Brother Muhammad, and is not tampered by a European point of view, and that makes a great diferrence. "Building the mind of our community is very important," said Brother Muhammad. This reporter feels that society now has the duty of making sure that each and every generation knows the exact facts about our history as well as our struggle throughout the years.Capturing the moments as well as the statements is also crucial. With outlets such as the Black Mind Builders, the world has the opportunity to hear and witness history in the future.
