More coverage of Amadou Diallo

Hell Really Is On Earth

by Guyan Wilks

One of the most horrifying events in New York City took place last year when a young man by the name of Amadou Diallo was shot 41 times. I think that the Rev. Al Sharpton is doing a great job in the fight for his justice and that he should keep the protests going.Whenever I hear about this case I feel anger. First of all, these four cops have handled other shootings before, and never had to fire more than three shots. The fact that there were 41 shots fired suggests that they were having fun shooting him. They probably didn't even stop to think and realize that this is a human life just like theirs, that wants to live a long healthy life to fulfill their dreams. Maybe Amadou Diallo wanted that life too. What I want to know is, why a black man would run from 4 guys with guns?

I want to know why they had to shoot him 41 times? They didn't even consider that he might have been blind or even deaf. They just fired 41 bullets at him. I mean, even if he did have a gun, why couldn't they just injure him instead of killing him? I'm sure that one shot would have knocked him out. Everyone knows one bullet can kill someone, so imagine what 41 bullets would do. It would massacre someone.

There is no doubt that these 4 officers are guilty, and deserve to be put away. And if they are let go, there would be such an uproar, that they would say "Hell really is on earth."
